Walter Meyer
Walter Meyer is a painter and graphic artist of landscapes, portraits, still life, wildlife and abstract pictures. He works in oil, acrylic, watercolour, gouache, ink, wash, pencil, charcoal, various graphic media and also sculpts in wood. In amongst this long list his reputation has gone hand in hand with his evocative portrayals of derelict buildings and strikingly atmospheric, simple town and landscapes. These reveal Meyer´s love of his homeland and have drawn a large following of admirers into their contemplative, quiet settings.
Born 31st January 1965 in Aliwal North, Cape Province. Meyer grew up in Pretoria and currently lives and works in Upington in the Northern Cape
